About Us
We don’t require pro-level skillsets but we do need an equal measure of investment in your own creative growth and the community’s execution of projects so our collective can continue to thrive. We want each member giving in the same amount in which they receive. That also means everyone does not show up the same. Some members don’t need a lot of resources and lean on encouragement and WayMakers social collabs and therefore volunteer little; others need a lot of helping hands on set, editing, equipment, etc. and remain ready and willing to volunteer for others an equal amount. Just like in any successful community, fairness and equity are key.
Simply put: We aren’t selfish. We all just want to make cool shit and get our work out into the world with help from collaborative, encouraging teammates.
WayMakers is a creative community that serves as a space to help creators bring their ideas and goals to life. We offer tangible support thanks to the willing give-and-take relationship of the individuals that make up the collective.
Creative collaboration, group communication forums, scheduling to ask and volunteer for helping hands and extra eyes, tools and equipment, and networking are at everyone’s fingertips.
